SHOWERY BUT IMPROVING The official weather forecast issued by the Government Meteorologist in Wellington is:— Situation.—A - depression is centred: south-east of the South Island. Foreast to 5 p.m—Fresh hut dev creasing south-west winds and bo- - casional showers at first, but the weather improving gradually, and lair inland this afternoon, with tempera-' tures' cool. Further Outlook.—Temporarily fair, Sunday. ' \‘ Weather in Dunedin.—Conditions in the city yesterday were changeable, as the temperature range, from 36.5 up to 62.3 degrees, indicates. The minimum temperature on the «rass was 48 degrees. The sun shone for 4hr 6min. The rainfall up to 9.30 a.m. was 0.04 inches. ‘A moderate north-east breeze predominated during the day, although there were several showers' from the south-west. The barometric pressure -was falling at midnight, when the reading was 29.69 in .;
