This bowling machine, invented by a former secretary of the Somerset County Cricket Club, England, can deliver a cricket ball of any desired length, pitch or pace. It has been in use for the past 10 years at Newcastle Royal Grammar School, and has helped in the making of more than one county batsman. A special adjustment on the shafting determines the nature of the break.
