OBITUARY
MISS M. D. MILLAR
On September 30 Miss Mary Downie Millar passed away at the residence of her sister, Mrs James Bruce, Pyramid. Born in Oamaru, she was the eldest daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Peter Millar, Kia Ora, and received her education at the Waireka School and also in Dunedin. After joining the staff of the Dunedin Telephone Exchange she served for a number of years at different centres and later rose to be superintendent at Dunedin. After her retirement she and her sister travelled to England for the Coronation, and also visited the Continent. Miss Millar was a staunch member of the Roslyn Presbyterian Church and also a member of the local branch of the W.D.F.U. and the Victoria League.
