CZECHS IN EXILE FORM COUNCIL

Rec. 11 p.m. WASHINGTON, Oct. 14. Eighteen prominent Czech democrats, representing four political parties, recently met in Washington and drew up a proposed charter for a “ Council for Free Czechoslovakia,” said the former Czech Ambassador to the United States, Mr Guraj Slavik, to-day. Mr Peter Zenkl, a former Vice-Premier, was elected the council’s temporary chairman. Mr Slavik said about 12,000 Czechs have escaped from Czechoslovakia since the Communists assumed control in February.
