Queenstown’s Claims For Ski-ing Events Of Empire Games
P.A. INVERCARGILL, Aug. 17. The New Zealand Ski Council decided to apply to have the skiing events of the Empire Games held at Queenstown. Queenstown has proved so successful as a championship course that it seems an admirable place to hold the skiing events, as they must be held in winter. The decision of the council is in the way of a feeler to see if the time will be suitable to fit in with the arrangements for other sports.
