WIDE RANGE
CHOIR AND DRAMA FESTIVAL METHODIST YOUTH MOVEMENT The twentieth choir and drama festival of the Methodist Church commenced in the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall last night. The usual procedure of presenting both choral and dramatic items on the one night was abandoned, and four plays only were presented. The range Was wide, religion and drama as well as farce being covered Last night’s plays were:—" The Purple Door Knob” (Young Women’s Auxiliary), “Why the Chimes Rang” (St. Kilda Bible Class), “Villa for Sale” (Central Mission), and “Thirst” (Dundas Street). The judge of the dramatic section is Mrs John Moffett and Mr Eric McFarlane will judge the choir contest.
