DUNEDIN SPRING MEETING At the monthly meeting of the bommittee of the Dunedin Jockey Club held yesterday afternoon, there were present Messrs L. C. Hazlett (chairman), C. N. Draper. A: Clark, K. Clark, A. P. Greenfield. R. C. B. Greenslade, W. Garrett, J. A. Gow, B. S. Irwin, D. N. Reid. A. N Smith, R. to. Wilson, and Dr E. R. Harty The programme for the spring meeting was completed, entries to close on Friday. September 10, with handicaps for the first day being declared in the morning papers on Monday, September 20, ana acceptances for the. first day closing at 5 p.m. on the same date Officials appointed for the ensuing season were:—Honorary treasurer, Mr A N. Smith; handicapper, Mr J- A. White, jun.; judge, Mr A. 0. Wellwood; Judges assistant. Mr J- Stevens; starter, Mr P D. Macnab; starter’s assistant, Mr I. G Macnab; clerk of scales. Mr C. R. Catfin; clerk of course, Mr F. G. Carter; timekeeper, Mr J. A. White, sen.; gates inspector, Mr T. D. Webster; veterinary surgeon, Mr G. A. Thomson, totalisator manager, Mr G. Wilhelmsen: farrier, Mr G. Smeaton. m Sub-committees appointed were:—Tracks —Messrs Hazlett (chairman), A. Clark. Draper Gow and Wilson; Works—Messrs Hazlett '(Chairman), praper, Greenfie.d, Irwin, Gow and K. Clark; Finance— Messrs Smith (chairman), K. Clark, Hazlett, Garrett and Dr Harty; Programme— Messrs Reid (chairman), K. Clark, Greenslade, Gow, Hazlett and* Smith; Band, Catering and Entertainment Messrs Greenfield (chairman), Elliott, Hazlett, Reid, and Dr Harty; Totalisator—Messrs Garrett (chairman). Draper, Hazlett. Smith and Wilson. Mr A. N. Smith was appointed totalisator steward, and Mr J. A Gow birdcage steward for the season.
