STILL SATISFACTORY
SOUTH ISLAND POWER SITUATION Special Correspondent WELLINGTON, July 5. The South Island power position continued to be satisfactory, said Mr A. E. Davenport, electricity controller, to-day. Mr Davenport said that the allocation for last week was 14,010.000 units and the consumption 13,969.000. a difference of 31,000 units, or 0.22 per cent. The storage used was 945.000 units and the storage available 78,730,000 units. Mr Davenport said that although the position was satisfactory at the moment he could not yet announce any change in the allocations.
