SCOUT AND CUB NOTES
Mr C. F. Jones was elected chairman, Mrs H. A. Murison secretary, Mr M. Mirfin treasurer, and Messrs Mirfin and Slater delegates to the district executive at the annual meeting of the St. Luke’s Group on Monday. Special mention was made of the long and faithful service rendered by Mrs 'Thomas as secretary. Annual meetings will be held as follows: St. Paul's, June 22; Columba, June 28; Windsor, June 30 followed by a birthday party; Enfield, July 1; North Otago Association, July 14. The monthly meeting of St. Patrick’s Troop will be held on July G. ' Scoutmasters and Cubmasters are asked to be present at St. Paul's Hall on July 7, when tire Rev. A. Marshall will give further instruction on new games. Scouter D. R. Moffat (Waitaki) has been granted leave of absence during the winter months. A Scoutmaster's warrant for Gilbert S. Brightwell (Weston) has been received by District Headquarters. Scouts will be pleased to learn that a Scout library is to be established at the Oakwood Library. Good progress is being made with the production of a district Scout magazine.
