NEGOTIATIONS BY RUSSIA BANGKOK, June 6. Russia to-day made a strong bid for trade with Siam.

Mr Arinitechev, Soviet trade representative, is at present in Bangkok negotiating for the purchase of Siamese tin, rubber and other products. Russia offered to import from Siam unlimited quantities of rubber, tin and coconut oil, and is prepared to pay for them in sterling or United States dollars, or barter them for Soviet newsprint, coal, ammonium, or other commodities. Russia is reported to be importing considerable quantities of wolfram from Siam through Chinese dealers in Hongkong.
