COMPLIMENTARY SOCIAL
RUGBY ADMINISTRATORS A complimentary social was tendered to Mr H. Harris and Mr V. G. Cavanagh, sen., last night by the Otago Rugby Football Union. The function, which was held in the Henry Rose Pavilion, was largely attended by followers of Rugby who had gathered to honour two men whose names have become familiar to almost every supporter of the game. Tributes were paid to Mr Harris and Mr Cavanagh by the president, Mr R. W. S. Dotting, Dr A. Perry, Messrs D. C. Jolly and A. C. Haynes. Mr Botting, in making a presentation to each, covered the history of their service to the game as players and administrators. The Mayor, Mr Cameron, also spoke.
