DRAMA CLUB
The Peter Pan Theatre was well filled for the Oamaru Drama Club’s month'y play-reading social. The follqwing three one-act plays were presented:—"Wordly Goods,” Mrs A. N. Brockelbank, Misses J. Wilson, L. Bremner, Messrs W. Carson, J. Weir, D. Mason, and R. Smart. The producer was Mrs J. Mackie. “A Paymaster in Every Family,” Mesdames C. Gilbert, D. Mason, Misses E. Hay, J. Ahern and J. Dowling. Mrs Gardner was the producer. ” Romance Comes to Cooper Street,” Mrs D. Mason, Misses M. Ahern, S. Taylor, Messrs S. Bell and W. Laing. Mr W. Carson was the producer. An opportunity was token to farewell the club’s treasurer, Miss Janet Wilson, who is leaving Oamaru to take up a position in Wellington. In making the presentation. the president, .Mr R. L. Sowden, expressed the club’s regret in losing such a valuable member.
