THE NEW LOOK
Sir,—We read with disgust recent newspaper advertisements urging modern women to revert to the methods used by their great grandmothers to follow fashion's fads. Surely New Zealand women are blessed with more common sense than to purchase and wear a foundation garment which must cause cramps and discomfort detrimental to health and beauty. If we cannot be fashionable without purchasing this outmoded devise, then the elusive “ new look ” is not for us.—We are, etc., ' Not Strait-laced. Clydevale
