“POUNAWEA IN DUNEDIN”
VISIT OF REV. JOHN H. DEANE Because of the restrictions introduced to counter the infantile paralysis epidemic, the annual Christian Convention at Pounawea had to be abandoned last Christmas. In view of this circumstance the local committee has convened a short series of meetings to be held in the Hanover Street Baptist Church Hall over this week-end, and these will be addressed by the Rev. John H. Deane, principal of the New Zealand Bible Ttraining Institute. The theme for the series is “ The Person of Christ,” and Mr Deane, who is widely known in Australia and New Zealand as a leading convention speaker, will make a definite contribution to the understanding of this topic. All meetings are open, to the public, and are completely interdenominational in character.
