PLANS PREPARED
RESTRICTIONS HAMPER BUILDING ST. CLAIR IMPROVEMENTS At the present time the society had plans prepared for the improvement of the esplanade at the St. Clair Beach, but it was not likely that anything could be done while the .present building restrictions prevailed, said Mr H. H. Henderson (chairman) at the annual meeting of the St. Clair Improvement Association. The cash assets amounted to £950, Mr Henderson said, but this would not go very far in paying for some of the big improvements to be carried out. A recommendation was made to the incoming committee that it go into the question of holding a carnival at the end of this year. The election of officers resulted:— President, Mr A. G. Monk; immediate past president, Mr M. Robson; vicepresidents, Messrs H. D. Gillies and B. F. Simonson; treasurer, Mr H. H. Henderson; secretary, Mr T. Grant; auditor, Mr D. Fastier; solicitor, Mr E. J. Anderson; committee—Messrs E. Ruhen, E. Mulligan, R. J. Scrymgour, S. Downie, N. E. Joly, A. Symons, and D. Fastier.
