TEA FROM CEYLON
Among the 1900 tons of cargo brought by the Narbada from Calcutta and Colombo for discharge at Dunedin are 40,0001 b of tea. A total of 3,000,0001 b of tea for the Dominion was shipped by the Narbada and in addition ta this consignment, a large quantity of tea is either in transit or awaiting shipment to this .country. These facts, considered in conjunction with the present stocks, led the Government to decide to dispense with tea rationing from May 31. The picture shows tea being unloaded from the Narbada at Victoria wharf.
