MAJOR TASK
CLEARING OF SLIP MAIN TRUNK LINE PA NEW PLYMOUTH, May 26. The Main Trunk railway expresses were again diverted via, Stratford tonight, the slip on the line two miles north of Taumarunui being still uncleared in spite of day and night work since it occurred on Monday afternoon. Many difficulties have been met but there is every prospect that the line will reopen to-morrow.
