CANDIDATES AT AUCKLAND

DUNEDIN-TRAINED HORSES Special to the Daily Times WELLINGTON, May 25. The Dunedin-trained horses Prize Ring, Incitatus, and Boolamskee arrived in Wellington to-day and continued their journey to Auckland by train. Incitatus lost some skin off a stifle when being loaded yesterday at Lyttelton, but R. Heasley, who is in charge of him, does not think the trouble will have any serious complications. He will not fulfil his engagement in the Great Northern Hurdles but is tc be a candidate for the Carbine Plate for amateur riders in which he will be ridden by Mr E. R. Curtis, who won the Duke of Gloucester Cup last year on Dundonald and the Jumpers’ Flat on Boolamskee. Mr Heasley stated that Prize Ring had recovered from the slight injury he gave his knee while hunting recently. Boolamskee is in good order for his Great Northern Hurdles engagement in which he will be ridden by J. Winder.
