CANDIDATE FOR SENATE
UNITED STATES AGRICULTURAL SECRETARY RESIGNS
WASHINGTON, May 23. Mr Clinton Anderson has resigned as United States Secretary of Agriculture to run for the Senate in the November elections. President Tiuman has appointed Mr Charles F. Brannan to succeed Mr Anderson. Mr Brannan s appointment is subject to Senate approval.- wnich is usually automatic.
