FOOD PARCEL SCHEME APPRECIATION EXPRESSED Appreciation of the Otago Rugby Football Union’s food parcel scheme was expressed in a letter from Mr Moir Mackenzie, vice-president* of the Scottish Rugby Union, in a letter which came before the Management Committee of the Otago Union last night. ' , . “It is true that we have adequate supplies of food nourishment,” the writer said, “ but it would be idle to say, or claim, that we have all the necessaries for cooking, such as lard and dripping, and it would be equally idle to say that our diet was a delightfully varied one. On the other hand*, while we are getting along all right, anything which relieves monotony is a tremendous boon, and I do want you, and all those whom you so kindly represent in this matter, to realise that our gratitude is very Xe The writer added that his first international match for Scotland was nlaved against the All Blacks in November, 1905, at Inverleith, in Edin- , burgh As Scotland’s senior representative on the International Board, I4+ W as a matter of profound pleasure - to him to know that New Zealana . had been invited to nominate a member to that body.
