Mrs R. C. B. Greenslade has returned from Karitane. Mrs Helen Gard’ner returned to Wellington on Saturday. Mrs A. M. Elliffe has returned from a holiday at Geraldine. Mrs W. H. Evatt, of Butler street, will return from Wellington to-day. Dr John A. Allan and Mrs Allan are spending a holiday at Wanaka. Mrs L. G. de la Perrelle, of Eglinton road, returned on Friday from Winton. Mr and Mrs O. L. Garden returned during the week-end from a holiday visit to Oamaru. Miss Enid Carter will leave to-morrow to join the Sydney Star, bound for England. Mrs R- J- Stevenson, of Hastings, has been visiting her sister. Mrs R. A. Murray, of Kevv. Dr H. A. Palmer and Mrs Palmer, of St. Clair, have returned from a holiday visit to Queenstown. Mrs W. S. Corbett, of Auckland, is visiting her parents. Dr A. B. Roy, and Mrs Roy, of Port Chalmers. Mr and Mrs G. S. Gapper, of Heriot row, will leave to-day for Auckland, where they intend to reside. Dr J. P. Walsh, and Mrs Walsh, who have been spending a holiday at Queenstown, returned home yesterday. Miss G. Mac Neill, of New Plymouth, who has been the guest of Madame Winnie Fraser, returned home on Thursday. Mrs J. Middleton, of Fendalton, Christchurch. who has been the guest of Mrs E. G. Boddy, of Queen street, returned home on Saturday. The Social Committee of the Mosgiel Free Kindergarten will hold a bring-ana-buy sale in Gordon road on Friday, commencing at 9 a.m. Sister Muriel Griffiths, of the Dunedin Hospital, will leave on Thursday for Christchurch, where her marriage will take place. Her future home will be in Wellington. Mr and Mrs L. H. Barnes of Belleknowes, gave a 6 o’clock cocktail party on Saturday to mark their wedding anniversary. Mrs R. W. Munro will speak on "Khartoum ” at the morning tea reception ot the Travel Club to-morrow. The hostesses will be Mesdames J. Y. Love and J. T. Leech. Members of the Post and Telegraph Women’s League met in the Savoy on Thursday afternoon to bid farewell to Mrs Churcher, who is leaving for Christchurch. In presenting Mrs Churcher with a small gift, and a bouquet of Ice.and poppies, the president, Miss D. Lowry, extended the best wishes of the members.
