DRAMA GROUP
SECOND TOUR OF CENTRAL OTAGO THE DOMINIE PLAYERS The Dominie Players, a drama group composed mainly of young Dunedin teachers, will set out on their second tour of Central Otago to-morrow. Travelling in a motor truck and cars, the group will leave Dunedin in the morning, and in the evening, the “ first night ” of its presentation, “ Tobias and the Angel,” a three-act play by James Bridie, will be held at Roxburgh. The remainder of the itinerary consists of one-night seasons at Arrowtown on Friday. Wanaka on May 17, Cromwell on May 18, Alexandra on May 19, and Dunedin on May 21.
The principal purpose of the group is to stimulate interest in drama in Central Otago, and for this reason a serious play of wide anpeal was chosen for presentation. A similar tour made last year by the players was very successful.
The cast, numbering 11, are members of the Drama Club at the Dunedin Training College. Mr N. A. Parsloe is the producer.
