BRITISH WHALE SHIP RETURNS FROM ANTARCTIC
LONDON, May 10. The British whale factory ship Balena, which has arrived at Southampton, handled 3000 whales during four months in the Antarctic. The whales yielded 4500 tons of meat, 163,000 barrels of edible oil, 10,000 barrels of sperm oil, 170 tons of meat extract, and 3200 tons of meal for cattle fodder, of a total value of £3,000,000.
