;• FAIR BUT COOL The Meteroiogical Office in Wellington has issued the following weather forecast for to-day:— Situation.—An anti-cyclone extends from Australia across the Tasman Sea towards New Zealand. Forecast to 5 p.m. To-day.—Light to . moderate variable winds. Weather fair but cool. Further Outlook.—Fair. Weather in Dunedin.—Pleasant morning sunshine totalling shr 24min brought almost summer conditions to Dunedin yesterday. Although the sky clouded over during the afternoon, a threat of rain did not eventuate. A light north-east wind prevailed. The mamimUm temperature was 55.9 deg, the minimum 39.2 deg, and the grass minimum 35.4 deg. Pressures dropped slightly during the day, but at midnight the barometer was steady at 29.95 in (1014 millibars).
