OCCASIONAL RAIN The Meteorological Office in Wellington has issued the following weather forecast for to-day:— Situation.—A deep depression in the Central Tasman Sea Is moving slowly southward. Forecast to 5 p.m. To-day.—Mode-rate north-east winds, gradually freshening. Weather overcast, with occasional drizzle or rain. Temperatures moderate. Weather in Dunedin.—For the most part the weather in Dunedin during the weekend was dull and misty, with frequent light drizzle. On Saturday no sunshine was recorded, and the maximum temperature was 52.5 degrees, the minimum being 50 degrees and the grass minimum 49 degrees. There was a slight breeze from the east. The sun shone for 1 hour 12 minutes yesterday, and for the 24 hours ended at 9.30 a.m. 0.17 inches of rain had been recorded. There was a light easterly breeze, and the thermometer readings were:—Maximum 61 degrees, minimum 54.5 degrees, grass minimum 52 degrees. The barometer dropped gradually and at midnight the reading was 29.79 inches (1009 millibars).
