CENTURY FREE-FOR-ALL

Prospect of Thrilling Race AERIAL SCOTT FAVOURITE No finer racing spectacle is provided than by a field of classy trotters sweeping around a track in close formation and trotting faultlessly, and it will be surprising if the race for the £1250 stake attached to the Century Trotting Free-for-All on the first day of the Forbury Park meeting does not prove to be one of the most spectacular of the day. Certainly no better field of trotters has been seen on the local course and few, if any, of the horses engaged could be regarded as out of their depth in such a field. With the glamour of his brilliant performances this season fresh on him, the champion trotter, Aerial Scott, will, no doubt, be in most favour with the public, but included in the balance of the field are horses capable of extending the champion to the limit, among them being Fantom, Blue Horizon, Rangefinder, Toushay, Mistydale, Belmoral, Safari, Sure Harvest, and the improving Acclamation. Patrons of local meetings seldom have the opportunity of seeing the recognised champions in action and the indications are that accommodation at the park will be taxed to the limit next Saturday.
