SCOUT AND CUB NOTES
A team of 20 Rover Scouts from Dunedin will visit Oamaru from May 15 to 17. A social evening for group committees will be held in ihe National Party rooms on May 5, women are asked to provide a basket and men are to make a small contribution to Scout funds. To date, only one troop has handed in subscriptions for membership of the local association. A special Wood Badge part 2 course will be held at Tatum Park from June .23 to 30. Entries for this course are to reach District Headquarters by June 1. Group secretaries are asked to return to the District Commissioner all warrants they hold for cancellation. Scouts, Cubs. Guides, and Brownies have been invited to attend divine service at St. Luke's on Anzac Day at 11 a.m. Scouts and Guides will parade with totem poles at 10.45 a.m. in Wharfe street. All Scout troops will parade in full dress uniform at 2 p.m. on Anzac Day. Each troop is asked to provide a wreath. Cubs will not parade. Troops are also asked to arrange for the cleaning of the plates on the Soldiers’ Memorial Oaks on Saturday, April 24.
