“LEADING THE WORLD”
PRAISE FOR NEW ZEALAND NATURAL ENDOWMENTS “ In the matter of time New Zealand leads the world, for it lies just west of the international date line. But it is not only in the matter of time that this ‘ jewel of the Pacific ’ leads, but also in the variety and beauty of its natural endowments. It is indeed a land of beauty and charm." writes Pastor E. D. Dick, secretary of the general conference of Seventh-day Adventists, in the Adventist weekly Review and Herald, published in Wasnington, D.C. After praising our glaciers and thermal centres, which he visited recently. Pastor Dick writes: “ But even more interesting than these natural phenomena are the clean, well-ordered cities and the beautiful countryside Evidences of a strong sense of civic pride are seen everywhere.” During his three weeks’ visit to New Zealand. Pastor Dick travelled over 3000 miles by car and spoke in 22 of the larger Adventist churches. For over 20 years he has travelled extensively in the Americas. Asia, Africa, and Europe. His home is in Washington, D.C.
