EDUCATION BOARD NOTICES 0 TAGO EDUCATION BOARD. IT IS HEREBY PUBLICLY NOTIFIED that the Education Board of the District ol! Otago has altered the boundaries of the CLYDE, ALEXANDRA and NORTHEAST VALLEY School Districts and has created the new school district of OPOHO. Plans showing the new boundaries, which will take effect from APRIL 26, 1943, may be inspected at the Board's Office. The respective boundaries are as follows: CLYDE— All that area bounded on the north by run 325 A, and by a straight line, extending from the north-east corner of run 3258 due east to Waikirikiri Creek; on the east by the said creek and run 221; on the south by a straight line connecting Trig stations K and J, on the east by the main Earnscleugh road to its junction with Mclntosh’s Lane, thence to the west by a straight line to Trig Station U, thence to the north by the boundary between Blocks 10 and 13 Leaning Rock S.D. to its junction with an imaginary line in continuation to the line Trig Station K to Trig Station J, thence to the west by the said imaginary line to the western boundary of run 249; and on the west by run 339. ALEXANDRA— The district previously defined (i.e. the combined districts of Alexandra, Earnscleugh and Galloway) subject to the exclusion of an area now transferred to the Clyde School District, being the area bounded on the east by the main Earnscleugh road running southwards to its junction with Mclntosh’s Lane, thenqe on the south by a straight line to Trig Station U; thence on the west by the boundary between Blocks X and XIII Leaning Rock S.D. to the junction of the said boundary with an imaginary line Trig Station K to Trig Station J; and thence on the north by the said imaginary line to its junction with the Main Earnscleugh road. NORTH-EAST VALLEY— All that area bounded on the north-east bv and including Sections 49 and 50, North-East Valley Survey District, on the south-east by the N.W. boundaries of Sections 46 and 48 and part of 49 Block IX. North Harbour and Blueskin District to Dalmeny street, thence by Dalmeny street, Botting street, Blacks road, Maybank street, a line in continuation of Maybank street, and Arden street to the junction of the latter with Opoho road; on the south-west by Opoho road and Pine Hill terrace to the corner of Chetham avenue; and on the north-west by Chetham avenue and the N.W. boundary of North-East Valley S.D. to the starting point. OPOHO— All that area bounded on the northwest by Arden street from its junction with Opoho road and by a line in continuation of Arden street to Maybank street, then by Blacks road, Botting street and Dalmeny street to the junction of the latter with Section 49, Block IX Morth Harbour and Blueskin Survey District, then by the north-western boundary jf part of Section 49 and Sections 48 and 16 said Block; by the north-eastern boundary of Section 46; by the southeastern boundaries of Sections 46, 48, 49 and 50; and by the south-western boundary of Section 50 and by Opoho road to the starting point. IT IS HEREBY FURTHER PUBLICLY NOTIFIED that the said Board has combined the following school districts, the lame of the new district in each instance being the name first mentioned, such combination to take effect as from May 1, 1948: Alexandra (as amended above) and Chatto Creek. „ .
