EASTER BOWLING

FOURS COMPETITION SECTION PLAY COMPLETED Section play in the Fours competition of the Dunedin Bowling Centre’s Easter tournament was completed on Saturday when 18 of the 86 entrants qualified for post-section games. Only one team, T. R. Crossan's Caversham four, gained the maximum six wins. On the St. Kilda green four teams tied with four wins, to enter post-section play. The remainder of the qualifiers each had five wins. Apart from a gusty wind in the afternoon, conditions were ideal and the playing surfaces of the various greens were in first-class order.
