RADIO TIME FOR LEFTIST ELEMENTS RECOMMENDATION IN CANADA Rec. 10 p.m. QUEBEC, Mar. 12‘. The Canadian Association of Broadcasters at its annual convention to-day adopted a resolution recommending that all known Leftists be denied time on all Canadian radio stations. The measure urged stations to refuse “ either to sell or give time to speakers representing any party group or association, whatever its name or front, advocating, or approving the overthrow of the Government other than by peaceful, democratic or constitutional methods.” It referred to “ what has happened recently in Czechoslovakia, Finland, Poland, the Baltic States and other former democratic European countries.”
