THE WEATHER
FAIR AND MILD The Meteorological Office in Wellington has issued the following weather forecast for to-day Situation.—A shallow depression is centred north-west of Auckland. Pres--sure is high in the Tasman Sea and east of the South Island. Forecast to 5 p.m. To-day .—Moderate westerly winds predominating, fresh at times on the south coast.. Isolated coastal showers south of Dun-, edin, elsewhere weather fair and temperatures moderate.
Weather in Dunedin.—The city yesterday experienced a typical autumn day. Mild temperatures, ranging from 57 degrees to 63.8 degrees were recorded and the total sunshine was seven hours The grass minimum temperature was 51 degrees, and the rain which fell totalled 0.02 in. At midnight the barometer was rising, the reading at that time being 30,03 inches (1017 millibars).
