AMATEUR BOXING
Tournament in April
At a meeting of the Oamaru Amateur Boxing Association on Thursday night it was decided to ask the Otago Association to suggest a date in April which would be suitable for a tournament in Oamaru. The president. Mr L. Webb, was in the chair.
Tile action of Messrs Webb, .). Firman and V. Wright in applying for the use of the Drill Hall was approved. The members' subscription was fixed at 10s, full admission to be paid at professional fights. Committees appointed were:—Match: Messrs S. Ashton, M. Hunter, J. Farquhar, I-i. Kerr, J. Rowell, T. Nightingale, L. Webb, V. Wright. Advertising: Messrs T. Nightingale,"J. Henderson, H. Ketr, E. Dwyer. Emergency: Messrs J. Firman, W. Berry, J. Ford, V. Wright, L. Webb. Social: Messrs J. Firman and J. Dooley.
