SIGNAL OFFICER AND GUNTHER Special to the Daily Times. CHRISTCHURCH, Mar. 5. R. E. McLellan was at Riccarton this morning with Signal Officer, who will be ridden at Trentham by C. T. Wilson. W. F. Hillis was here also with Mr W. E. Hazlett’s Gunther, -whom he will :ride at Trentham. The two Southland, horses will leave to-night for Wellington. After racing at Trentham, they will return here for the Canterbury Jockey Club's Easter meeting. ~ , ' L. J. Ellis will race two of his team at Motukarara to-morrow. He will ride Beaugence in. the Bradley Stakes, while K. O'Brien will be on Silver Link in the Peninsula Handicap, with a 71b allowance A.
