RACING AT MASTERTON Special to the Daily Times WELLINGTON, Mar. 5. Winners of the two open events, the James Memorial Handicap and the Waimana Handicap at the Masterton Racing Club’s meeting to-morrow, will not be subject to re-handicap for the first day of the Wellington Racing Club’s autumn meeting at Trentham next week, but the winners of the minor events may be rehandicapped. The scratchings are:—Trial Stakes: Kaianga Pai, Gambari, Grand Play. Waipoua Handicap: Choppy, Aki Aki, Cadwallen. The three withdrawals from the Waipoua Handicap avoid a division in this event. The weather has been fine in Masterton,

and the track, which has been well watered lately, is in splendid order. Betting is win-and-place, and the form horses include:—.

11.0: Otahuao High-weight.—Beau Jewel, Beneve, True Friend.

: 11.45: Kaituna Handicap.—Commercial, Lady Myrtle, Dancing Girl. 12.30: Trial Stakes.—Golden Hope, Gay Fellow, Determination. 1.15: James Memorial Handicap.—Tenor Royal, Desert Fox, Barrage. 2.0: Waipoua Handicap.—Air Belle, Golden Arrow, Lord Azure.

2.45: Waimana Handicap.—Calm Courage, The Pagan, Veine d’Or. 3.30: Brookfield Handicap.—Lord Holland, Super Lake, Haere Muku. 4.15: Waingawa Handicap.—Diana Reynard, False Step, Tranquil Gold.
