TWO-TOOTH EWES
PROBABLE SOUTH ISLAND RECORD p.A. GORE, Mar. 5. A record price of 665, probably a South Island record, was paid for two-tooth ewes at the Waikaka fair to-day. This exceeded the price of 65s paid for twotooths at Little River earlier this week. The vendor was Mr Alex. Byers, of Merino Downs, and the line was bought by a southern purchaser. There was a keen demand at the sale and several pens brought over 60s.
