Current American price changes are not seen as the beginning of a recession of the 1920 model, and most certainly not as 'the beginning of a depression. This is the consensus of opinion in United States economic circles according to the Washington correspondent of the Financial Times. He adds that the movements are considered to be more than a temporary flurry and may mark the end of inflation.
