OAMARU EWE FAIR
MARKET DISAPPOINTING Special to the Daily Times. OAMARU, Mar. 5. Because of climatic conditions tile market was disappointing at the Oalnaru Stock Agents and Woolbrokers’ Association’s annual two-tooth ewe and ewe lamb fair yesterday. There was a full yarding and in the circumstances a fair sale resulted. Most of the sheep showed the effect of the dry conditions. Best two-tooth ewes sold from 50s to 55s fid, medium sorts brought from 42s 6d to 48s 6d, ordinary from 38s fid to 425, and small from 28s fid to 35s fid. Best ewe lambs brought from 33s 6d to 36s and medium sorts from 25s to 28s.
