PERSONAL
Vice-Regal The Governor-General, Sir Bernard Freyberg, and Lady Freyberg, left Dunedin yesterday morning to visit Mataura, Invercargill and Gore. Their Excellencies will return to Dunedin this evening. Ministerial The Prime Minister, Mr Fraser, left for Wellington yesterday morning. Prior to his departure, he made a call on Mr W. Downie Stewart. The Minister of Defence, Mr Jones, left for Wellington by air yesterday morning Mr W. D. Pirrctt, of Auckland, a former Otago commissioner of the St. John Ambulance Brigade, is visiting his son, M>W. M. Pirrett, Caversham.
Mr R. K. Wilson arrived from England last week on a brief visit to his parents at 80 Heriot row, and left again on Thursday for Melbourne to take up a lectureship at Melbourne University. Mr Wilson is a graduate of Canterbury University College and after service in the air force he remained in England to continue his studies at University College, London
