New Zealand Loan To Czechoslovakia
MR FRASER’S COMMENT Some months ago it was announced by the Daily Times, and subsequently confirmed officially, that the Government of New Zea- _ land was making a loan of £1,000,000 to Czechoslovakia to enable that country to buy produce in the Dominion. It is understood that agents for the Government of Czechoslovakia have since been operating upon the credits in New Zealand thus established to finance the purchase of wool and other commodities. When the Prime Minister, Mr PraSer, was questioned by the Daily Times last night as to the possible effect upon the loan agreement of the latest political developments' in Czechoslovakia, he said: “ Certainly these events will have to be taken into consideration in connection with our loan to Czechoslovakia.”
