Now that the King is no longer Emperor of India, the contractions of the Latin inscription, “ Indiae Imperator,’’ on British coins, will disappear. An official of the Royal Mint said that the remaining words of the inscription on the coins would probably be rearranged so that fewer contractions would be used. The change cannot take place, however, until all the Dominion Parliaments signify their approval.
