TAXI CHARGES
APPLICATION FOR INCREASE P.A. WELLINGTON, Feb. 24. The Metropolitan Licensing Authority, under the chairmanship of Mr C. A. T. Treadwell, reserved its decision in an application for increased taxi fares for weddings, funerals, and longdistance trips brought by the Wellington branch of the New Zealand Taxi Proprietors’ Federation. The .application was previously granted by the Metropolitan Authority, and was referred back to it by Judge K. G. Archer, the appeal authority, for the consideration of fuller evidence.
