GISBORNE ELECTORATE
miTcoleman to retire P.A. WELLINGTON, Feb. 11. Mr D. W. Coleman, Labour member of Parliament for Gisborne, has notified the National Executive of the
Labour Party that he will not contest the electorate at the next general election. Expressing regret at Mr Coleman’s decision to retire from parliamentary life, Mr Fraser paid a tribute to his life-long association with the Labour movement and to his fine service as a member of Parliament, as party Whip, and as an Under-secretary to the Minister of Works.
