LARGE SHEEP RUNS
Sir,—With reference to your article giving details of the Earnscleugh run, I have amongst some records interesting facts of one run which is thought to be the largest—namely, Walter Peak Station. The area held by the owners of this station was some time ago 175,000 acres, surrounded by 100 miles of fencing. In the early days this run was 250,000 acres. It would be interesting to know the areas of other large runs held by pioneers.—l am, etc., D. H. L. Cromwell.
