“GROW MORE WHEAT”
CAMPAIGN IN 4 OTAGO Advice was received by Federated Farmers of Otago yesterday that Messrs F. P. Walsh (chairman of the National Aid for Britain Council), R. P. Tennent (actingDirector of Agriculture), A. P. O’Shea (general secretary of Federated Farmers) and J. Williams (private secretary to the Prime Minister, Mr Fraser) will leave Wellington on Monday next to conduct a campaign for the growing of more wheat in the coming season. The itinerary of the party includes meetings with farmers at Hawea Flat on the afternoon of Wednesday, February 18 at Arrowtown on the same evening, at Gore on February 19, at West Otago on the afternoon of Friday, February 20, and at Milton on the same evening. The party will then proceed to Canterbury, a meeting with farmers in Waimate being arranged for Saturday, February 21.
