MISSING YACHT RANGI STILL NO TRACE FOUND N.Z.P.A.—Copyright Rec. 11.55 p.m. SYDNEY, Feb. 11, The four Lincoln bombers which are searching for the missing yacht Rangi have seen no trace of the yacht so far. The fear that the Rangi may have been dismasted in the cyclone that hit the other race competitors and may now be drifting helpless was expressed to-day by the skipper of the New Zealand schooner Te Hongi, Jaques Markwelder. The Te Hongi entered the Sydney Heads at 2.40 a.m. to-day. The secretary of the Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club, Mr J. A. Kyd, has notified all ships of the Rangi’s radio cal! sign, and has asked wireless operators to try to get in touch with the yacht. Mr Kyd added that he hoped amateur radio operators would try to pick up the Rangi. The captain of the Catalina which made yesterday’s search of the Rangi south-west of Lord Howe Island said' “I am certain that if the yacht had been in the vicinity we would have found it. We always had a clear view of the surface.”
