ISOLATED SHOWERS The Meteorological Office in Wellington has issued the following weather forecast for to-day:— Situation.—An anti-cyclone lies over the North Island, and a ridge . of high pressure is crossing the South . Island. Forecast to 5 p.m. To-day.—Mode-rate or fresh vMnds from a westerly quarter. Weather cloudy and cool, • with isolated showers, chiefly south of Dunedin. Weather in Dunedin.— Yesterday was, for the most part, warm and sunny in Dunedin, although cimditions became overcast and a light rain fell during the late afternoon. The sun shonev for 6 | hours 6 minutes, the temperature ranging between 60.2 and 68 degrees. The minimum grass temperature was 58.5 degrees. There was no ram up to 9.30 a.m., and the wind was a light northeasterly. The barometer showed little fluctuation, the reading at midnight being 30.09 inches (1019, millibars).
