Probation Colt The Probation colt Jacquinot Bay has been ’started 11 times this season for one win, three seconds, a third, and two fourths. His most recent placed performance was at the Wairarapa meeting on January 3, when, carrying 9.3, he finished second to Indian Coronet 7.10 after making the pace. Resuming Riding W. Kitto has recovered from his accident, and will be riding at the Dunedin Jockey Club's meeting at the end of the month. He is making application for a trainer’s licence, and when that is granted he will start training at Washdyke. • Engaged at Riccarton The Defaulter gelding Gold Medallion has had only two starts this season, and has not been placed. Last season as a two-year-old he collected a second and two thirds in nine starts, his best performance being at the Ashburton meeting in June, when he ran second to Wee Mac in the Novice Stakes, Beechwood being third five lengths away.
