CLAIMED AS RECORD
BIG SHEARING TALLY P.A. ROTORUA, Jan. 23. What is claimed to be a record for the Bay of Plenty was made during the shearing of 3892 lambs on the Lands Department station at Strathmore last week. In one day three men shore 951 head, the individual tallies being: K. Hawira 336, R. Ropera 310, and J. Maikaere 305. In addition, M. Tahu, a veteran of 58shore 217.
