APPLICATIONS are invited for a LECTURER IN CHEMISTRY, who will, under tile general direction of the Professor of Chemistry, be responsible for co-ordinating and progressing the work of the Chemistry Department at firstyear level. Classes at present involve some 2000 students. Laboratories holding 300 students at one time are available, and are the only parts of the Department that can be devoted solely to Chemistry I requirements. Some 12 to 15 members of the Chemistry School, plus about 50 part-time demonstrators, participate in tlie theoretical and practical teaching. Applicants should, therefore, be successful teachers, well acquainted with Science standards in New South Wales schools, with organising and administrative independent research. Salary is within the scale £SOO-£750 per annum, depending upon qualifications and experience, and is subject to deductions under the State Superannuation abilities, and capable of engaging in Act.
